New 2025 2+1 Sundowner Charter SE Warmblood Horse Trailer

Description

This is a 2+1 horse trailer that’s just easy to live with. It’s all aluminum, pulls smooth on rubber torsion axles and with the 7’6″ inside height and 6’9″ width, horses have room to stand comfortable without the trailer feeling oversized behind the truck. The adjustable 2 5/16″ gooseneck makes it simple to set up right and the four wheel electric brakes with breakaway give you peace of mind when you’re loaded.

Inside the horse area, everything’s laid out the way it should be. The stalls have padded airflow head and shoulder dividers, plus breast and butt bars so horses ride quiet and stay where they belong. You’ve got rubber mats on the floor, SunCoatedT double wall side construction and good airflow with two pop up roof vents. Each stall has its own drop down feed door with an aluminum guard and there are big sliding windows per stall, plus two more in the tail curtains, so it never feels dark or stuffy.

Loading is straightforward. There’s a spring loaded rear ramp that’s rubber lined, with wrap around tail curtains, and a 60″ side ramp with a curtain if you prefer that setup. A full height side access door makes it easy to get in and out and the full height stud doors per stall give you flexibility depending on what you’re hauling. Tie rings are where you expect them, five inside, three outside and there’s a dome light in the horse area for early mornings or late nights.

Up front, the tack room is clean and practical. You’ve got a locking tack door with a window, rubber floor mats, dome light, six tack hooks, a blanket bar, brush tray and two saddle racks. The 20″ x 36″ nose windows let in plenty of light, and the walk through door into the horse area is one of those features you don’t think about until you have it and then you don’t want to go without it.

Outside, it’s finished with a pre painted aluminum exterior, full length running boards and a graphics package. You’ve got LED clearance and tail lights, load lights over the tack room, rear ramp and side ramp, a drop leg jack and a spare tire and wheel already on it, which is always good to have when you’re hauling.
